About Us...

Welcome to the Freewheelers Website!

The Freewheelers is the world's oldest gay classic car club, founded in 1978.  We have over 300 members in our club and over 1,700 vintage and classic cars.

From Acura to Zundapp, the broad variety of cars in the club reflects the diverse tastes and interests of our membership.  While our primary membership base of operations is in Northern California, we have members throughout the United States, Canada, and New Zealand.

Our club has one weekend rally, tour, or event every month, as well as monthly mid-week local cruise nights from April through October.  Significant annual events include the West Coast Meet in July (where multiple clubs join together), our Benefit Car Show in September, and our Holiday Party.

Ownership of a classic or vintage car is not a requirement for membership, just an interest in vintage and classic automobiles.  We hope you enjoy our website, and viewing some of our automobiles.  If you are interested in joining, you can obtain a membership form online and send it to the address below, attention: Membership Chairman.
