Annual Business Meeting, held once again at the fabulous Vallejo Yacht Club, where we began the celebration of the club’s 40th Anniversary...our RUBY anniversary.

MARCH - Blackhawk Museum Event

March 18, 2018

The Blackhawk Museum displays historically significant and artistically inspired automobiles, each of which is lit in such a way as accentuate the cars unique body lines and colors. We were allowed to park our cars on the plaza in front of the museum. Why? Because we are that special.

MAY - Friendship Day

May 20, 2018

The Freewheelers invaded the Friendship Day car show - with invitations, of course - and we roped off a special viewing gallery just for ourselves.

JUNE - Sonoma Cheese Tour

June 24, 2018

A Freewheelers tour of the world-famous Sonoma Marin Cheese Trail.  Our motorcade was seen along bucolic Marin County back roads, made stops at Marin’s finest cheesemakers, and completed the day with a picnic lunch in a beautiful park. 

JULY - WCM Phantom of the Opera

AUGUST - Pool Party

The Freewheelers headed to the South Bay for our annual pool party.

 

Returning to the Moore family home in the East Foothills of San Jose, we were able to park poolside at this hillside retreat.

SEPTEMBER - Haggin Museum

September 15, 2018

The Haggin Museum, an art and history museum located in Stockton, has been referred to by Sunset magazine as "one of the undersung gems of California." The impressive brick building has stood in the center of Stockton’s lush Victory Park for over 85 years, but it’s what’s on the inside that makes it worth visiting. The Haggin Museum houses the largest public collection of artwork by "Golden Age" illustrator J.C. Leyendecker in a new permanent gallery space featuring over 30 original artworks and an intimate look at the gay artist's life with photos, letters, and other personal items.

OCTOBER - East Bay Drive Tour

October 21, 2018

October's drive tour started at the John Muir National Historic Site and Home with a docent-led tour of the Italianate home in Martinez. After taking time to walk the extensive grounds we drove our classic cars through the beautiful Alhambra Valley back roads, winding up at Giopetto’s Caffé in Orinda for lunch.

NOVEMBER - New Member Brunch

November 18, 2018

Our November event was a New Members Lunch held at the Buchanan Airfield in Concord where we experienced both cars and planes.

DECEMBER - Annual Holiday Party

December 09, 2018

This year we returned to the Veterans Hall in Pleasanton for our annual holiday gathering. The weather was delightful and so was the company. There was room for a full concours in the parking lot next door to the Veterans Hall. Todd Darling and Scott Mikkelson were once again our jolly Chefs de Jour with a menu that was lavish and beyond fabulous!
